This is one paddle where the carpool can take longer than the paddle. We’ll launch from Runway Beach at the end of the Dillingham Airfield, go around the point and land at Keawa‘ula Beach (Yokohama). You must be comfortable launching and landing at a steep unprotected beach through possible small surf. You must RSVP by Saturday (10/11) morning if you plan to attend so that the carpool can be planned.
Do not just show up for this paddle unless you arrange your own transportation.
If there is not sufficient interest, Stan will offer a round-trip “Hapa Kaena” paddle to the point from Runway Beach or Mākua and back depending on conditions. Meet at Runway Beach at 8:00 am, carpool leaves at 8:30. Launch about 10:30.
If anyone is not going to paddle, but has some free time in the morning and would be willing to help with the carpool please let Stan know. – 8.5 mi.
