Mālaekahana to Waialeʻe

A challenging paddle around the northern tip of O‘ahu. Can be windy and rough with open ocean swells. Cruise past the James Campbell Wildlife Refuge, Turtle Bay and Kawela Bay. Meet at the small beach park just south of the private Mālaekahana Beach Campground (look for telephone pole #34 on the makai side of the highway) at 8:00 am for a 8:30 am carpool. Paddle will start around 9:30 am. – 9 mi.

Launch Location:
Launch is at a small beach park just south of the private Mālaekahana Beach Campground. Look for telephone pole #34 on the makai side of the highway. Bring your wheels it’s a long way to the beach.
Landing Location:
Waiale‘e Beach Park. An undeveloped beach park that’s easy to miss with a dirt parking lot. Also known as Pahipahialua or China Walls.
