SUMMARY:Makapuʻu around Mānana (Rabbit) Island
DESCRIPTION:An EZ Glider round-trip paddle from the Makai Range Pier to Makapu‘u going around Mānana (Rabbit) Island if conditions allow. This is an EZ Glider based on the distance\, but it can can be windy and choppy so check the forecasts to see if it matches your comfort level before coming out. The actual course will be set at the time of launch. Snorkeling may be possible. Probably too early for whale watching\, but maybe we’ll see an early bird. Meet at the Makai Range Pier at 9:00 AM. Launch around 9:30. No carpool. – 3 to 4 mi. \n\n\n\nPaddle Leader:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLaunch Location:\n\n\n\nPark in the dirt lot to the left of the pier. SUMMARY:Turtletown Tour Meet & Greet
DESCRIPTION:At our last Meet & Greet for the year we’ll take an EZ Glider round trip to Turtletown in the patch reefs of Kaneohe Bay. A high concentration of honu inhabit these reefs and we hope to snorkel respectfully with them. There should be great photo/video opportunities so bring your underwater cameras. We welcome non-members on this paddle. – 4 mi. RT \n\n\n\nWe start and end this adventure from Kualoa Campsite A where club members are welcome to camp on Friday and Saturday. Meet at 1:30 pm for a 2:00 pm launch. You’re welcome to come earlier in the day and hang out with the club campers. \n\n\n\nAfter the paddle we’ll talk story at a potluck dinner. Non-paddling family and friends are welcome to enjoy a day at the beach and join us for dinner. Bring something to share\, a chair and your own drinks for dinner. \n\n\n\nA limited number of loaner kayaks will be available for this special event. Please read and agree to follow our loaner kayak etiquette before requesting a kayak. If you want to borrow a kayak contact the paddle leader by Thursday\, 9/24\, to reserve one. \n\n\n\nPaddle Leader:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLaunch Location:\n\n\n\nTake the right fork at the roundabout and drive through the gate. Go to the end of the gravel road. DESCRIPTION:On this EZ Glider we take a jungle cruise up the Kahana stream. This is an ideal two mile beginner’s paddle in a narrow\, gentle stream. We welcome non-members on this paddle. \n\n\n\nMeet at the Ahupuaʻa ʻO Kahana State Park at 8:30. Bring your kayak wheels to haul your kayak to the stream.
