SUMMARY:Waialeʻe to Haleʻiwa
DESCRIPTION:A scenic paddle going past all the famous North Shore surf breaks. The first couple miles are the most challenging depending on the swell. We may have to go a distance offshore to pass Sunset Point and avoid breaking waves. After Sunset Beach the hazards are minimal. A little over half way we stop at Waimea Bay. Land just South of the Jumping Rock for a lunch break (pack your lunch in a dry bag). We have encountered spinner dolphin pods many times in the past. Meet at Waiale‘e Beach Park at 8:30 am for a long carpool at 9:00 am. – 9.75 mi. \n\n\n\nPaddle Leader:\n\n\n\n\n\nLaunch Location:\n\n\n\nAn undeveloped beach park that’s easy to miss with a dirt parking lot. Also known as Pahipahialua or China Walls. \n\n\n\n\n\nLanding Location:\n\n\n\nHaleʻiwa Beach Park. Park near to the war memorial if possible.
