SUMMARY:Introduction to Kayaking Clinic
DESCRIPTION:ACA-certified instruction of basic ocean kayaking skills. This clinic is highly recommended for all new and prospective members. Free for all club members\, $10 donation for non-members. Membership registration will be accepted for the clinic. Join online or download our club application and bring the completed form and dues to the clinic. \n\n\n\nPre-registration required. RSVP by noon Saturday\, 8/29\, to register. Leader reserves the right to cancel the class if insufficient registration. Meet at 8:00 AM at Duke Kahanamoku Beach. Parking is usually tight so come early so you can hunt for a spot. SUMMARY:Fall Camp & Papio Kayak Fishing Contest
DESCRIPTION:This weekend was reserved for our annual two-day Papio Kayak Fishing Tournament\, but with the decreased interest in fishing within the club we’re changing the event to a weekend camp with the focus on fun and building club fellowship. We’ll still have a less competitive one-day papio fishing contest. We reserved the small group campsite at Kualoa Regional Park for camping on Friday and Saturday nights. \n\n\n\nWe’re still working out the details\, but here’s a draft itinerary for the weekend (subject to change): \n\n\n\nFriday\n\n\n\n\nSetup camp anytime after 9:00 am\n\n\n\nEvening full moon paddle around Mokoliʻi\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\n\n\n\n\nPapio fishing contest\n\n\n\nAfternoon self-rescue\, assisted rescue and towing practice\n\n\n\nFellowship campfire (Storytelling\, singing and S’mores)\n\n\n\n\nSunday\n\n\n\n\nMorning Turtletown Tour\n\n\n\nPotluck BBQ lunch\n\n\n\n\nCamping is only for registered fishermen and club members and their guests and registered fishermen.  \n\n\n\nClub members that want to camp should RSVP below. \n\n\n\nCamp Director:\n\n\n\n\n\nFishing Contest Director:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamp Location:\n\n\n\nTake the right fork at the roundabout and drive through the gate. Go to the end of the gravel road.
