Full Moon at Ahu o Laka (Kāneʻohe Sandbar)
January 3 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Weather Update: The winds should drop and with only a slight chance of rain we have a green light for our first 2026 paddle! It will be chilly so bring a jacket and maybe a hot beverage to warm you at the sandbar.
Join us for a howling good time as we paddle to the sandbar under the light of the full moon. While this round trip EZ Glider is suitable for the casual kayaker it is not for first-time paddlers since we’ll be paddling at night. Bring a waterproof light to illuminate your kayak (white glow sticks work well for this) and a snack to share on the sandbar. Moon rise 6:43 pm, Sunset 6:02 pm, Low tide 8:18 pm -0.7 ft. Meet in front of the He‘eia Kea canoe hale at 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm launch. – 2.5 mi.
