Hauʻula to Mālaekahana

This medium length paddle can be challenging because of potential large trade swells. You should be confident in your ability to self-rescue in deep water in case you huli! If conditions allow you can get up close to several islets between Lai‘e Point and Mālaekahana. Meet at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am carpool. – 6 mi.

Park along Kam Hwy. Launch or land right behind the restroom and pavilion.

Landing Location:

Malaekahana State Recreation Area. Enter the Malaekahana State Recreation Area and park near the restroom. Bring your wheels to pull your kayak along the sidewalk heading to the beach.
