Up the Creek Meet & Greet

At our last Meet & Greet event for the year we will take a jungle cruise up the Kahana stream. This is an ideal two mile beginner’s paddle in a narrow, gentle stream. We welcome non-members on this paddle.

After the paddle we’ll talk story at a potluck lunch. Non-paddling family and friends are welcome to enjoy a day at the beach and join us for lunch. Bring something to share and a chair for lunch. Meet at the Kahana Bay Beach Park at 8:30. Launch about 9:00. Park at the picnic area parking lot on the Kaʻaʻawa side of the park..

A limited number of loaner kayaks will be available for this special event. Please read and agree to follow our loaner kayak etiquette before requesting a kayak. If you want to borrow a kayak contact the paddle leader by Friday, 11/7, to reserve one.

Turn into Kahana Valley Road and park in the state park parking lot on the mauka side of Kam Hwy. Wheel your kayak across the lawn to the stream.
