Waiʻalae Beach to Kaimana Beach

This medium length paddle around Le’ahi (Diamond Head) is a good one for novices looking to improve their open ocean skills. We’ll take a break about halfway at Shangri-La. Meet at 8:00, carpool at 8:30. – 4.5 mi.

Launch Location:

A small beach park before the Wai‘alae Country Club and Kahala Hotel. The parking lot gets full so you may have to park on the street. Do not park in the country club parking lot.

Landing Location:

Kaimana Beach Grab a free parking spot along the beach frontage road or by the Nanatorium if you’re lucky. Otherwise, find a spot on Kalakaua Ave.
