Waialeʻe to Haleʻiwa

July 19 @ 8:30 am 2:00 pm

Kayakers heading down the Oahu north shore coast

A scenic paddle going past all the famous North Shore surf breaks. The first couple miles are the most challenging depending on the swell. We may have to go a distance offshore to pass Sunset Point and avoid breaking waves. After Sunset Beach the hazards are minimal. A little over half way we stop at Waimea Bay. Land just South of the Jumping Rock for a lunch break (pack your lunch in a dry bag). We have encountered spinner dolphin pods many times in the past. Meet at Waiale‘e Beach Park at 8:30 am for a long carpool at 9:00 am. – 9.75 mi.
